Statement of Need/Program Overview
The purpose of this educational activity is to enhance learner knowledge and competence regarding cloud security for ePHI. This activity will provide an overview on cloud provider services and security for storage of ePHI. This activity will explain what cloud security is, explain what to look for when selecting a cloud service provider, and security concerns associated with unsecured cloud data.
The target audience for this activity is Medical Mutual's provider physician group and related healthcare professionals.
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Define Cloud computing.
- Compare and contrast pros and cons when selecting a Cloud Service provider to meet your practice's needs.
- Identify the risks associated with having cloud data unsecured.
Medical Mutual is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Instructions to Receive CME Credit
In order to successfully complete the activity, participants must score 70% on the post test at the end of the activity and complete the course evaluations. Each participant has a maximum of three attempts to score a 70%. Successful completion is supported by a 70% pass rate at the end of the course, proving competency on the content of the activity.
